Celebration of Passover
You must register by emailing admin@icejireland.org by Thursday 10th April.
We are very pleased to inform you that we will be celebrating Passover on Saturday 19 April in the Belmont Hotel, Rathfriland Road, Banbridge BT32 3LH. A meal will be included and the cost is £30.00 per person.
We are delighted that our Guest Speaker for the evening will be Bible Teacher, ROY MILLAR. This event has been scheduled to fall within Passover Week between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
God made a Covenant at Mount Sinai and gave the Jewish people His Law. The prophet Jeremiah looked forward to another day when the Lord would make a New Covenant with the House of Israel and the House of Judah to put His law within their hearts and minds.
It was at the Passover Meal in the Upper Room that Jesus introduced this New Covenant and then died to seal it with His blood. As He did this He used one of the four cups of wine to represent His blood and broke the unleavened bread to represent His body, thus initiating what has come to be known as Holy Communion.
As we follow the steps of the Passover meal we will discover how the ancient Jewish tradition illuminates and enriches our understanding of what Jesus accomplished. He came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world, and to be the author of the New Covenant into which we have been included.
The final date for registration which is essential, is THURSDAY 10 APRIL by emailing admin@icejireland.org
This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the final days of Jesus life before He went to the Cross.
We really look forward to seeing you at this Celebration.
