Dear Friends,

We have spent the month of August in prayer about the momentous decision to recognise a Palestinian State. Each morning we have prayed, interceded and repented for the UK government, UK nation and UK church in an endeavour to turn national authority back to God.

As we enter September, and unsure of the date of this recognition at the UN, we need to pray strategic and targeted prayers.

In Genesis 12:1-3 we read of God’s promise to Abram of a land and a great nation and also of the blessings and curses that will take place if a nation or people stand against Israel.

This is reiterated in Genesis 12:7 were the land is promised to Abram’s descendants.

When we look at Joel 3:2 we see the judgement that God will bring on the nations who divide his land. That is why this prayer time is so important to hold back this judgement on the UK as the UK government seems determined to recognise a Palestinian state.

When we look at 2 Kings 13:15-18 we are shown a strategy of arrows being shot for victory. However, in verse 18, we see that Joash stopped after three strikes and we cannot stop.

Psalm 7:13 states that ‘God makes His arrows into fiery shafts’ so let’s continue to shoot our prayers of repentance, intercession and victory with the power that God had given us to overcome the strategies of the enemy.
